I am a music education major who has changed majors a few times. I really love art and science and so I've been torn between the two. I used to tutor college math up to calculus and trigonometry. I can still teach/tutor in those areas but my passion is mentoring in music. I was a professors assistant in music theory. I've taught private trumpet lessons from beginning to advanced for just about seven years now. Some of my students have gone on to win scholarships at auditions and have been able to stay ahead of their peers in performance and overall musicianship. I am passionate to share with my students the experiences and wisdom of what my teachers have shown to me. I grew up in small towns and my goal is to set expectations high and teach students what they won't learn in school. Other times, to be honest, it's an amazing thing when you can draw out that moment when people start to understand. My specialty fields include trumpet, music theory and mathematics. I can tutor just about anything though. I am currently an instrumental music education major at the Univ. of Utah. My music list goes on and on.
