My general philosophy is for them to have fun and get excited about what they are doing. This can help them in so many ways. In my experiences growing up, art always helped me express myself and feel confident. As a teenager, I volunteered teaching inner-city youths about photography. We took photos with point-and-shoot cameras and also made pinhole cameras.
