I have worked as an Extended Day Aid for children that had working parents and were to be picked up after school at about 6 p.m. Here I had to do activities with the children and help with homework. I really enjoyed this for the kids would be challenged and I was able to see intellectual growth. In their growth, I would see confidence improvement and self worth. This is only the natural human response when accomplishing something challenging. I also like the challenge for myself to help the child see a problem in a different aspect. This, I have seen, helps them understand a little better.
