I have tutored at the Writing Center. I have taught composition, literature and creative writing at the University of Pittsburgh for the last 17 years. I recently dropped from full to part time. I taught ESL for four years in LA to adults and high school students; locally, I've taught as a visiting writer at the Ellis School, CMU, Waynesburg University, the Pittsburgh Young Writers Institute (elementary-secondary) and the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. I am committed to the importance of reading and writing, not only as life skills, but for the pleasure and knowledge one can gain from literature. I find it very rewarding to help students learn to enjoy reading.
