I graduated from the University of California, San Diego, with a B.A. degree in history. I was one of only seven students admitted to the honors program in history the year of my graduation. I maintained a GPA of 3.7. I am passionate about history and love sharing that passion with others. I took those three courses at ASU and transferred them back to UCSD to obtain my degree. At ASU, my GPA was 4.0. I have helped numerous friends to write "A" papers for their history classes.

Additionally, I am a gifted writer and editor. I started my career in corporate communications and public relations. My primary experience is more in doing content editing, as well as copy editing, of graduate student thesis and book manuscripts for professors in the social sciences at UC, San Diego. I edited for logic, clarity and flow of narrative, and always did a great deal of re-writing. These jobs required that I be familiar with the subject matter, as well as with the art and craft of writing. The professors I edited for were in history and sociology.

I also spent a year working in a computer learning center, primarily working with middle school students who needed help in the basic skills of English, math and writing.

I am an avid reader, with close to 1,000 books. Most of my books are non-fiction, history books. I'm currently doing free-lance editing of book manuscripts. I love language. A well-crafted sentence that is concise and elegantly written is like music.
