I have a BA degree in English (with an emphasis in writing), and while attaining my master's degree in American studies, I was also a graduate instructor of basic composition and persuasive writing. I also tutored at the university's writing center. I worked with all kinds of students (international, English as second language, traditional college-aged, older and non-traditional). The best way to learn writing is to constantly practice it, I believe in both theory discussion and application (writing as a process, and writing with self-understanding and for an audience).
