I have years of experience dedicating myself to tutoring students with and without disabilities. I also have experience teaching gifted students who need supplemental academic challenges. What I have learned is that each student has his or her own way of learning. Students with disabilities are smart, but are sometimes labeled as otherwise because they do not mold to the "norm." I think it is the challenge of educators to figure out how to teach to each child's strengths. This is exactly what I do. For example, if your child is a visual learner, I will draw fun and interesting diagrams until your child can grasp the concept. I also pride myself on being incredibly patient. I can help your child develop strategies to organize thoughts in order to develop essay writing skills. I can take difficult concepts in math and bring them down to the level of each individual student. I can organize and present science concepts in a way that is understandable. These subjects are not easy to learn and that is where I can help.

Here's a little history on me; I graduated with honors from Fordham University. I then moved on to complete my post-graduate studies in math and science from New York University. I currently work as a private tutor and for a well established child psychiatrist. I have been trained to complete behavioral observations on child patients in order for the doctor to have a better understanding of what is going on clinically with her patients.

Although, my main focus is tutoring math and science, I have also tutored all other elementary, middle and high school subjects (except for foreign languages). In order to prove my skills, I would like to tempt you into a trial session.
