I seek an opportunity to work with a young reader/low reader or writers at any level who would like a second opinion on their written works.

I stand out in the humanities subjects. And, I have been called on to help and coach others. I have lived and instructed youth and peers regarding the English language here and abroad for more than a decade. My first official tutoring experience was in the eighth grade, when an ESL teacher asked me to meet weekly with some of her lower level English speakers. I continued pursuing opportunities to befriend and communicate with international and ESL students throughout college.

In college, I worked in the Center for Writing as a Peer Writing Consultant for three years. It was my job to help students of all degree areas improve their writing. After college, I took a teaching fellowship in China. For one year, I taught English grammar and phonics to approximately 84 primary students and I co-led (with a Chinese educator) one after-school reading club per semester. I got rave reviews from my students (and have the farewell cards to prove it)! :)
