After my high school volunteering experience with Hispanic students learning English, I longed to learn Spanish and help others learning languages. In college, I served as a university-sponsored tutor for ESL, Spanish, math, and writing. Then I became a Spanish and ESL educator, and I have been working in that field for eight years. I have worked with kindergarten age through adult, individual students to classes of 36 students, 30-minutes sessions to 3-hour classes. I have become familiar with a wide variety of teaching methods and materials for language and reading education. I am interested in tutoring people at many levels of Spanish and English language in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I have also had some experience tutoring math and I feel comfortable tutoring through high school geometry and algebra.
