I have been a public school teacher for over 30 years. I have taught in the general education classroom as well as in the special education classroom. I am a trained reading specialist with a master's in reading. I have been an ESL teacher for the past 20 years. I love tutoring because, I love the one-on-one attention I can give my students. It is so exciting to see them make progress, and connect their learning in the classroom with our lessons. Tutoring in my home, I can give students hands-on experiences such as, teaching fractions with cooking that are hard to give in a classroom. All children can learn, you just have to take time to find out what motivates them.
