I graduated with a 3.9 grade point average and received a Bachelor of the Arts in Early Childhood Education. I completed course work to certify as an early childhood reading specialist and I am only four classes away from a second degree in mild to moderate intervention specialist- teaching special needs children.
Through my education, I was required to complete over 150 hours of observation and volunteer work in classrooms. In the spring of 2009 I completed my student teaching for 15 weeks in the Mayfield School system where I wrote and taught all lessons and managed the classroom on my own.

I believe that teachers, especially those who work with the little ones, make such an impact on the lives of the children they teach. They can instill the love for learning (or sadly just the opposite). I'd like the chance to make learning fun for children, especially those who have a difficult time.

I'm currently leaving a preschool teaching position to move to Michigan in pursuit of a (hopefully successful!!) restaurant business!

I enjoy taking walks, going to the park, science experiments, trips to the library to find new and fun books, baking (even though I'm not the greatest chef), teaching, laughing and playing!
