My name is Nydia T. I have been in the teaching profession for 20 years. I have taught all subject matter in grades K-12. However, I am certified in grades 6-12. I am certified to teach history, anthropology, psychology, and political science. I am fluent in Spanish. Currently, I am taking a break from the regular classroom, so that I can refine my skills as a teacher. I am going to school, full-time, on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I am working toward a certificate in computer software applications and web page design. This goal will be completed by the end of 2010. I love teaching and helping students learn. However, I do think that schools are meeting the individual needs of our students. In my opinion, I think that it is important to teach students real-life applications, and provide them with field trips that will enhance their educational experiences. I am a lifelong learner, and consider myself a work-in-progress.
