My passion is to help give positive direction to the youth of today by being able to counsel them, teach them, advise them and help direct their energy to be the best they can be!

I do not have kids of my own, but if I did, I would love to home school them. I think it would be an awesome honor and an exciting challenge to be able to home school someone else's kids for them!

I have experience in the field of tutoring from various stages in my life, but have always volunteered my time rather than be paid for tutoring. In my college years I was a volunteer tutor for kids with difficulties in learning in Palm Beach County Florida. In 2005 I received my certification to teach ESL, and for two years volunteered as an ESL tutor here in Atlanta. I am volunteering now as an Adult tutor in Reading and Writing and am looking forward to my upcoming ARW certification class.

I studied the psychology of education in college to acquire my bachelor's degree as a secondary school teacher. However, during my last quarter of college I worked temporarily in the newspaper industry, got distracted and instead of teaching, spent the majority of my employment years in newspapers, totally unrelated to my college education. I postponed my career in my field of study and have never been paid to teach. I am now in the process of entering a program to advance my education towards a master's degree in psychology or master's degree in education. Tutoring would be a great part-time job and an excellent experience to go hand in hand with my studies.

My range of interest is very broad, and I am curious about how everything works. I love solving problems, figuring things out and being able to learn from what doesn't work is also a positive process for me. I love turning lemons into lemonade! I am a perfectionist about whatever it is I attempt to do, and I usually do excel at it. For me, any job I undertake is fun, if I get to give it my all and perfect my job as I learn it. I am a quick study and will be happy to learn new skills to become the perfect tailor made employee in whatever positive way my employer might need me.
