I have a B.A. in Elementary Education from Northwest University. My Washington State teacher's certificate was for K-8th grade with an endorsement in 4-12th grade History. I currently have my lifetime WA State Substitute Teacher's Certificate K-12. My teaching experience includes six years at a private school, where I taught 4-6th grades, as well as a semester of high school geography and world history. I have tutored children ages 8- to 13-years-old in a variety of subjects, most notably reading and study skills. While working at the high school, I have also helped with test preparation and am able to proctor exams including CAT and Stanford Aptitude tests. I am familiar with home school and un-schooling, as I was home schooled for part of my own school experience. I am also familiar with Running Start, AP, and IB programs. I am currently the Bothell and Eastside area Community Coordinator for PAX -Program of Academic Exchange, an accredited high school foreign exchange program working with over 40 countries. I will tutor your student at a library or coffee shop or Jamba Juice- any neutral locale.
