I have a 17-year-old daughter, whom I home schooled for her entire K-12 education. She's now in college, taking honors classes. There's nothing more satisfying than the feeling I would get at the moment when I realized something I was trying to teach her "clicked" for her. When the light bulb goes off, and you know that the idea you were trying to convey was actually received and understood, it's a wonderful feeling.

I believe that learning starts at birth, and occurs every single moment of every single day thereafter. Everything is a learning experience, and children are like little sponges, just waiting to soak up whatever you can give them. I feel one on one time with an attentive adult is the best thing for a child, to help them grow into the inquisitive beings they need to become to thrive in their world. I loved providing that type of environment for my child, and wish to share that with another now that mine is all grown up.

Believing that learning is a life long pursuit, I am currently a junior at the University of West GA (with a 4.0 GPA), taking online classes. My classes are very flexible, time-wise, and I'm not full time, so there would be no conflicts with being able to provide full time day care for your child.

I am a life long non-smoker, and I have reliable transportation. I am willing to provide a background check and a current copy of my driving record. I also volunteer with a program called CASA in which I advocate for foster children in Carroll County. Children are indeed our future, and they need to be cherished and nurtured to be able to live happy, productive lives as adults.
