After graduating from Stanton College Preparatory school, I obtained my BS in Civil Engineering from Florida State University. I understand what it takes to survive and succeed in rigorous academic programs. After graduation, I was a Project Engineer for an Environmental Consulting firm. I then became the EHS Engineer for a Medical Device company. I am currently a co-owner of a business consulting firm. As a parent of a rising 5th grader I understand the importance of fostering a solid academic foundation for children. During high school, college and post college I have been a tutor for individual clients as well as groups. My business experience provides me with ability to provide students with real life applications of subjects. I maintain a positive, upbeat attitude with my clients to ensure they remain encouraged. As an EHS Engineer training was a large part of my job function. This gave me additional experience in teaching and evaluating people in subjects in which they were unfamiliar and/or not comfortable. As a parent I understand that a child's education starts at home. Communication between the tutor, student, and parent is a key component of tutoring.
