I am a recent college graduate and earned a B. A. in History with Secondary Education. I have experience with students in grades 7 to 12. My area of certification includes American History, Global History, Geography, Economics and Government. I started my college career in Early Childhood Education, but changed paths so I may pursue my passion of History. I am a hands on educator that feels the best way to learn is to experience it as much as possible. I try to incorporate as much of the physical city into lessons and experiences. For example, if your child needs to learn about the Statue of Liberty, I believe in taking a trip there to really experience and absorb the magnitude of the statue. I can help students develop good study habits and proper writing skills that will be necessary to be successful in both primary and secondary educational settings. If your child is thinking about colleges, I can help them locate, visit and apply to schools.
