My tutoring experience started at home with my own children, now ages 21, 14 and almost 3. My tutoring experiences have also come from being a caregiver since age 15. When entrusted with the responsibility of being a caregiver, I have always taken the opportunity to teach children because their minds are like sponges. I love the innocent interaction, the inquisitiveness and the curiosity of learning new things that children have when experiencing and uncovering some of life's tiniest treasures. Children are created from such a pure place that, that innocence must be protected and the inquisitiveness and curiosity must be nurtured in the most positive way. That is when you see children blossom and start to develop what will eventually be their own unique character. I enjoy experiencing that ah-ha moment with children when something finally clicks and the light bulb comes on in their minds. My techniques for learning include songs, acronyms, visual gestures and drawings. Children possess very active imaginations and the key to their learning depends on being able to tap into that very special place. I make learning fun!
