My name is Sue P. and I have been teaching my six children for almost 20 years - preschool through high school. I am still teaching three of my kids - 4th, 9th, and 11th grades. Three of my kids have graduated from my home-schooling program and gone on to college. My oldest graduated college several years ago with high honors and a degree in engineering. My next is graduating as a criminal justice major in December with a 3.8 GPA. My 3rd is beginning her sophomore year in a pre-pharmacy program with a 4.0 GPA.

I've loved home-schooling my kids because I love being with them. I also think that schools do not always mold themselves to suit individual students. They expect the students to adjust themselves to the school and if they don't fit the mold then the student is judged the one that is lacking. I believe that as a teacher it is your responsibility to find a way to explain a concept so that the learner understands. Most things are easy to grasp but must be properly explained.

Most of my experienced has been unpaid. Besides home-schooling, I also taught for five years in our church's children's ministry. Years ago, I taught for two years in an adult literacy center that was a paid position. Please contact me if you think I can be of help to you and your student.
