During the morning I was responsible for supervising 10-20 primary school children and to organize and participate in a variety of activities such as painting, drawing, handicrafts, etc. I would help to prepare and serve breakfast for each child, and would clean and maintain order in activity areas.
I mentored an 8-year-old boy fortnightly. I was responsible for supporting the child's emotional/social development, and for giving positive encouragement/attention.

I underwent a multi-part childcare training course in order that I would be prepared to report signs of emotional/developmental problems if observed, and so that I would understand how to adjust to any special needs the child may have.

From the 21st - 25th June 2010, I organized and ran an individualized week-long Summer Camp, for three middle-school aged boys. I was additionally expected to assist supervision of younger children (ages 1-5).

The primary objective of the camp was to instruct in elementary Latin language and studio art curriculum. I would devise and implement lesson plans, including cross-curricular links to language, art, and history; and would create hands-on learning tools to enhance education and stimulate the boys enthusiasm.

Additionally, I have tutored middle-school through high-school aged children privately. I and am especially proficient in teaching Latin, English, and history.

I am Red Cross CPR/First Aid certified.
