I tutored my brother and sister through their elementary and junior high years. I feel that some kids and parents get frustrated with each other and need someone else to step in and be able to dedicate all of their attention to sitting with the child and working through everything they have. Sometimes a child may also need someone who can take them out of their house where they can't focus and to somewhere they can concentrate, like the library. I don't want to see any child fall behind because of frustration.
