Teaching my husband, a French and English speaker, Chinese for one year, I realized that I have the skill and patience to teach second language students Chinese. Although I did not have professional experience on teaching Chinese, I teach my husband Chinese from 0 level to beginner lever 3. He got "A" on his Chinese course. From this experience, I believe that my patience and a good way of teaching Chinese. My advantage is that I speak standard Mandarin, Pu Tong Hua, which only 10% of Chinese could speak as standard Mandarin as a broadcaster. I am one of the 10% Chinese who speak natively standard Chinese. I believe for second language beginners, a standard Chinese speaker, without any accents, is very crucial to guide them into a new language. My career goal in recent five years is every year, under my guide, 20 to 30 Chinese beginners.
