I have a college degree and have helped family members in English and reading. I previously hosted a reading/writing club for my daughter and her friends. The club helped the children with reading out loud and using their imaginations. They had journals in which to write questions or comments on the books we were reading. The kids learned how to compose letters, create an outline, and use all of their senses in their writing. It was a fun time for everyone. :) I also provide childcare during the day and have taught children how to read and perform basic math equations to get them ready for kindergarten. I am currently caring for a 4-year-old who is now reading basic beginner books, performing small sum addition, and even knows the first 16 presidents. He catches on so quickly!
