From the time I entered second grade I knew I wanted to be a teacher. My teacher took his time with us and gave me a new way of looking at things. When I entered college there was still no doubt about what I wanted to receive my degree in. I began my teaching career as a second grade teacher and I loved it. I taught second grade for my first three years and my students' parents loved me so much that they wanted me to loop up with there children. I continued on with them and taught third and fourth grade. I went back to teach second grade for two years and I currently teach Kindergarten. I must say that I have always thought that kindergarten would've been the hardest grade to teach, but it has turned out to be my most beloved and rewarding grade. I love the innocence of the student, their eagerness to learn, and the visible growth you see them go through. I am currently working on my Master's Degree. I knew I want to continue my education and I wanted to stay in the field of working with children. I will be receiving my degree in Counselor Education in December 2010 so that I can service the students on a more personal level.
