Hi, my name is Megan O. I am finishing up my third year at Westfield State College as an elementary education and liberal studies major with a concentration in reading, however, from the middle of May until the end of June, I move to my home town of Georgetown, MA. I have completed all of my Massachusetts licensure exams which after my fall of student teaching will qualify me for my teaching license. I have tutored elementary age children, middle school students, as well as high school students particularly for their preparation for final exams in school. My current GPA is a 3.7 and as a liberal arts second major, I have studied all subject areas. I am currently employed as a substitute teacher in the Georgetown public schools where I have worked for the past three years during my school vacations.
For the elementary age child, I have a strong background in helping emergent readers and striving readers. As a future teacher, I am most concerned with helping the students that I work with achieve their learning goals and understand the concepts that they are learning. I am a very friendly, happy, and outgoing person, but make sure the students that I am working with work hard to achieve their individual goals, as well as my goals for them. I look forward to working with you and your child.
