I hold dual NYS certification in English Language Arts and ESL. I am experienced teaching children K - 12, college and adults. In an effort to move students forward educationally and intellectually, I pride myself in my ability to interact and engage with students. Patient and empathetic, I am also resolute expecting learners to stretch themselves; all children and adults can learn albeit in many different ways. My job is to help them discover how they learn.
Additionally, I am an extremely hard worker: 4.0 Nassau Community College (A.A.); 3.91 C. W. Post (B.A.); 3.96 Hofstra University (M.S.) (TESOL.)
I also have an extensive resume studying abroad: Literature and History - Cambridge University; Comparative Religion, Chinese History, Mandarin and Tai Chi - Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China; Shakespeare, Chaucer, Victorian Literature, British History, Theater and Architecture - Regents College, London. While living and studying in China, I worked as an ESL teacher at a university middle school, and taught English to university graduate students as an independent tutor.
I also enjoy sports and competition: In my past career, I raised, trained, and showed horses on the national circuit for many years. As you can see, I am a well educated, experienced, and erudite individual; however, my enduring love is teaching. Allow me to impart my expertise upon your loved one; it will be my pleasure.
