I am a State-certified teacher in Elementary Education (K-6) with ESOL and ESE (K-12) endorsements. I am also certified in Reading (K-9). I've been in the education field for more than 14 years either as a Teacher, Teacher's Assistant, Camp Counselor, or Private Tutor. I do believe in doing my lessons in the student's home because they will be in a more comfortable environment where a child will be more willing to open up about his or her struggle in school. My initial appointment with a student will consist of an assessment of strengths and weaknesses, a consultation with both parents and child on future goals, review of current grades, and if accommodations are needed. After the initial assessment, each private lesson will focus on reviewing past and current week's school lessons, as well as advancing to the next needed level.
