I worked as a volunteer tutor with the local non-profit Viva el Espanol, an organization that teaches Spanish to children between the ages of 5 and 10 by full immersion, meaning very little English is spoken. As a result of this work experience and my continued academic pursuit of the language, I am fluent in Spanish, and have a great deal of experience teaching children the language. I am also passionate about English and language arts and am pursuing a degree in literature at UC Santa Barbara.
