I have a great amount of classroom teaching, tutoring and babysitting experience. I am currently a substitute teacher at various private schools in the greater Seattle area. I was a teacher at the elementary level for two years. I recently directed the P. E. and recreation program for The Swim Academy, at the Sagemont School. I was a teacher and computer specialist for developmental preschool and kindergarten. I have taught and coached swimming at all levels, and taught gymnastics to elementary level students. I have volunteered at a number of mentoring and after school programs. I have also done private tutoring for ESL, as well as all other subjects from grades K-6.

I speak Spanish and have a great deal of cultural knowledge due to extensive national and international travel as well as living and teaching abroad. I spent two years teaching English at an elementary school in Barbate, Spain. I spent this past summer managing a volunteer project with "at risk" school children, in Huaraz, Peru, at Seeds of Hope School. These positions gave me the ability to help children master basic educational skills by being imaginative, nurturing, organized, patient and resourceful.
