Previously worked as a supplement instruction (SI) leader for two years. During those two years my job required me to assist students in improving academic achievement by meeting with them regularly to clarify learning problems and work on study skills, rely upon interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and provide instruction to students, and prioritize lesson plans and utilize excellent organizational and time management skills. I also worked as a Cheer Program math tutor for one month out of the summer where I provided the university's incoming students with the knowledge and guidance to perform at a higher academic level during the student's upcoming first semester at FSU and throughout the rest of their career. I attended seminars with the students on decision making, social networking, hygiene, leadership, and academic success. No matter the subject or the age, I am able to provide students with academic assistance that will create an opportunity for them to excel. I can work with students of all types up to college level courses!
