As a vocal performance major at Belmont University, you can almost say that music is my life. Growing up with a musical theatre and pop music background has helped me to blossom into the performer I am today. I have received numerous top vocal awards in both pop and jazz, received a scholarship from my high school to be a performance major in college, and placed into the fourth level of theory as a freshman in college. During my freshman year, I signed up to be a theory tutor, and tutored my peers- even upperclassmen. Last summer, I taught a girl an entire level of theory on my own so she could test into the next level when she started school, and she succeeded. I am continuing to tutor this summer, and am hoping to take on more students- especially young kids who want to learn more about music and performing!
