I have spent the past six years teaching fourth and fifth grade in the Orinda Union School District in Northern California. I will be entering the Special Education PhD program at CAL State LA/UCLA beginning in the fall of 2012. My expertise is in multisensory and individualized instruction to meet a child's needs. I have attended all the professional development given in my district, as well as Orton Gillingham on my own time. I have worked closely with behavior specialists in my school district in ABA therapy and am well versed in the multitude of behavior methods available. I have experience working with students on the spectrum in my classroom, as well as multiple language based learning disabilities. I will be available all summer long, as well as part-time during the fall (including weekends). I am also available to nanny for a family and was a nanny through high school and college until I began teaching six years ago.
