I have been playing the Clarinet for 8 years and the Bass Clarinet for 6 years. In my early years, I developed a deep interest in these instruments and became proficient/advanced very quickly. In 2007 and 2008 I was in the All-Southern California Honor Band on bass clarinet, which is a highly prestigious group. Continually, in 2007 I was also first chair in the San Diego All-County Honor Band, which is also prestigious. I have had private lessons since 2005 and am now playing the clarinet in the San Diego State University Marching Band. I was the lead Alto Saxophone in my High School's Jazz band as for two years and I also played the Alto Sax in my high school's marching band for 3 years. My junior and senior year I was a soloist in our field show and my senior year I was the Saxophone section leader. As section leader, I was responsible for making sure everyone in my section was proficient in playing their instrument as well as memorizing their parts and marching.
My other instruments include flute and bassoon. I am also a Music Education major at SDSU and love teaching kids how to play music.
