I have always been an above average student when it comes to math. In fact, I am currently working on my minor in Mathematical Sciences at the University of Delaware. During high school, I would often tutor my friends in Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. Over the summer, I tutored a boy from church in Pre-Algebra several times a week. Unfortunately, math and its related subjects have inherited a bad reputation for being difficult and scary. However, I believe that the first step to conquering the subject is confidence. It is my job to nurture that confidence through constant practice and encouragement. I believe that any student can succeed once they are really pushed.
