I currently work as a behavior tutor at a preschool and center-based program for children diagnosed on the autism spectrum (ages 2-5). We work on both academic type skills and functional skills to facilitate independence. I love my job! Because we utilize an ABA therapy model, I have learned quite a bit about behavior modification and reinforcement in learning which I think can be applicable skills for tutoring children without special needs as well. I currently work about 36 hours a week and (on most days) would be available by 4:30 p.m. or later. I feel that I would be most prepared to tutor young children based on my current work experience, but am open to all situations. I truly enjoy working with kids and try to come up with new ways of motivating them to succeed! I would love to collaborate with you to come up with the best ways of helping your child!
