I have worked part-time as a tutor since college. In college, I spent a year and a half working as an intensive academic and life skills tutor for college-aged adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position involved attending classes with my students, frequent tutoring sessions, and acting as a mediator between my students and their teachers. After college, I spent a year working as a special education teacher for the Christina School District. I worked with high school students with autism and other learning and behavior difficulties, providing a great deal of academic support in a local high school. More recently, I have worked part-time for a tutoring company based in Wilmington, and have provided tutoring services to a variety of clients. I am most comfortable tutoring in English, writing, reading, psychology, and life skills. I am also interested in tutoring basic/intermediate levels of science, math, social studies, and Spanish.
