My personal experiences as a music therapist has include hearing a child speak his name for the first time with a drum activity, watch a girl with Cerebral Palsy learn to walk to the beat of music, see a severely motor involved child grasp and hold an instrument for the first time, see preschoolers participate in social groups involving sharing and turn-taking, and on and on.
