I am an Evening School Program Instructor with Pittsburgh Public Schools. The program operates from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday at the high school. The program supports students that have needs for credits to graduate high school. Many of the students have failed or dropped out of the classes they are receiving assistance for. I am responsible for the Social Studies courses in the program. The courses I teach focus on American History (Revolution to Modern), Geography (Physical and Cultural), Civics, and Anthropology. My classes are student centered but I motivate students with engaging lessons and real world questions. I also assist the students in college and vocational prep.
