I have over five years experience teaching ESL, college-level writing, creative writing and high school Language Arts. I am available during the summer to give you or your child a "leg up" in reading and writing. I have taught students of all abilities and literacy levels in Massachusetts and in Beijing. I love helping others succeed. My tutoring sessions are tailored to your specific learning style, academic need and can range from highly structured, teacher-directed learning, to more experiential, student-driven activities. For middle and high school students, I am familiar with IEP's and 504's and can provide reading, writing strategies to help you absorb and own new material. Tutoring sessions can focus on mastering the MCAS or SAT, improving grammar, sentence structure, clarity of ideas, building vocabulary or writing the college essay. For adult students, I can assist with crafting a resume, cover letter, college application, book group or other work-related activities.
