For the past two plus years, I have worked as a classroom assistant in Providence Public Schools. I worked in three second grade classrooms where I helped children who were reading below grade level improve their reading skills. I have extensive knowledge of phonics and phonemic awareness. I have helped children improve their reading speed, accuracy, and comprehension. I also worked with children on writing projects. Although literacy instruction is my strong point, I am able to tutor in math as well. I have experience working with children from preschool to high school and working with special and regular education students. I am very patient.
