Math and reading through Head Start, Lansing School District. As a former child whose mother lack education and father didn't speak English I didn't understand the learning process until special people took the time to teach me it inspired to do the same. My son who is now 22 years old was my biggest challenge. Unfortunately, his teacher refused the entire school year to teach him to read as she was insisting that he needed medication, for ADHD. I knew that my son's problem was lack of socialization, as I too was the same. Finally the school psychologist diagnosed my son as immature, since he did stat school at 4. My challenge was to teach him how to read though entertainment, and it worked. He was a straight A student after I removed him and sent him to another school, with a more difficult curriculum. My 3-year-old identifies word and reads; at two he identified his alphabets, and numbers. My 25-year-old had a certificate through the state for writing.
