Most recently I work with One-on-One Tutoring (NFP) out of Alachua County, FL as a private tutor meeting with students at libraries and in their homes. One-on-One primarily worked with underprivileged and underdeveloped children, ages seven to 13. I taught a number of different children, both personality and ability-wise, at an accelerated pace for state testing as well as for general aptitude and well-being. I focused on basic math and fundamental diction and syntax in one-on-one and small group learning exercises. Inherently I developed personalized relationships and curricula for each given student based on motivational levels, time available, prior knowledge and ability to learn. I believe that all my students progressed well and started to enjoy education where some hadn't before.

I also was a coach at All-American basketball, a premier summer camp out of Fort Lauderdale, FL. I instructed children ages seven to 12 in basketball fundamentals and teamwork, all the while building their confidence for the future. If there is a hoop nearby I'd be happy to show your kid some moves after our lesson.

Anyways, I'm a first-year graduate student out of UNC-A, focusing on creative writing. I am a classical and Russian literature buff, automotive and computer mechanic as well as an avid hiker, snowboarder and basketball player. English is my specialty (BA from Univ. of FL), but, having excelled at standardized testing, am fully equipped to improve FCAT, SAT and GRE scores.
