I have over 8 years of experience tutoring children and high school aged students in many areas of study, specializing in reading and writing, as well as biology and the life sciences. In high school I was part of an International Honors Program, in which I successfully completed college level coursework and earned college credits, allowing me to enter college with advanced standing. As an honors student in high school, we had the opportunity to tutor younger students during our lunch periods. In addition to assisting fellow students, as a babysitter, I helped elementary school aged children to thoroughly complete their written homework. Upon entering college, I maintained honors, excelling in the field of psychology and tutoring fellow students that needed help with the more difficult courses in our major. I was also Vice President of Psi Chi, The National Honor Society in Psychology, and put together many workshops for students that needed additional help in the field, looking for careers, or study aids for the Graduate Record Exam. I would also like to note that I offer tutoring services to college bound students interested in pursuing psychology as a major, and to undergraduate students in psychology courses. I am very thorough, and with younger students keep a communication log with a teacher and parent to update all parties on student progress, and to make sure we are all on the same page! I am very friendly and understanding and welcome questions from all students. I myself am a student that is always asking questions! I look forward to hearing from all that are interested.
