I attended Abilene Christian University and throughout my college career I volunteered as a tutor at local day cares within Abilene. I worked with children between the ages of 2-12. Simultaneously, I volunteered at the church I attended throughout my college career as a nursery attendant. I worked part-time as a substitute teacher as well in Abilene ISD. Upon graduation, I taught for two years as a middle school Special Education teacher. I taught all core subjects during this time. During the summer, I volunteered at the Boys and Girls home as a tutor for kids of all ages. Currently, I am in my third year as a Special Education teacher. I teach English Language Arts to children with mild to moderate learning disabilities.
