I have worked as a high school special education Learning Specialist at a local public high school for the past three years. I have worked in small group settings (1-4 students). I have worked with students on organizational skills, writing, reading comprehension and a variety of subjects such as history, Algebra, Geometry and sciences. Prior to my current job, I worked as a special education History/English teacher at a small private middle/high school. I have tutored several students in 1:1 settings outside of school on a variety of skills including organization, writing and various subjects. This past summer, I tutored a 17-year-old in Algebra I and completed most of the book successfully. I also tutored this student for 3 weeks in reading comprehension and writing.
