I taught in private school after college graduation (Education and Curriculum and Instruction, BS), substitute taught elementary, middle, and high schools, and home schooled my 4 children for 10 years. I have been a private tutor for 21 years, and have home schooled other children during these years. Subjects I have tutored include the following: math (including algebra and geometry and some college level), English and language arts (spelling, poetry, vocabulary, grammar, writing), reading (including phonics), handwriting, sciences, history, English as a second language, as well as prep for the college entrance exams.

I have been a test administrator for the Stanford Achievement-Otis Lennon Tests, as well as the Iowa Basic Skills Test for 20 years. I offer diagnostic testing in reading comprehension, oral reading, as well as in math.
