I recently graduated from Florida State University with a master's in social science education. I believe that all my accomplishments (and even times where I did not succeed) have prepared me to be a success as a tutor and educator. My most pertinent accomplishments would be the extremely positive student teaching experience I had in Tallahassee. It gave me the confidence to know that I was meant to teach and reinforced everything I had learned in a real teaching atmosphere. Being awarded the honor of Eagle Scout during my senior year of high school confirmed the positive values that I developed that can now be passed on to my own students. In addition, I believe that I have gained a strong work ethic after having the experience of working throughout my college years. Through various jobs, I was able to maintain a positive attitude and work with a wide range of individuals. In addition during my last year at FSU, I tutored student athletes in various subjects including American history, world history, European history, African American history, government, public speaking, and sociology. I am currently certified to teach in the various social studies fields in grades 6-12, and feel confident that I can be an asset to any student who may need assistance in grades 3-12.
