I am an outgoing, energetic person looking for a part-time childcare job. I have worked with children of all ages for many years and can supply strong references.

I started babysitting when I was about 12 years old as a mother's helper. Over the years I have built positive relationships with several families who still call me to watch their children. I am comfortable babysitting multiple children, doing overnights and driving children to/from activities.

From 2006-2009, I worked in a preschool in Hinsdale with children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. In the summer of 2008 I worked with school aged children at the summer camp.
In 2010, I graduated from Northern Illinois University with my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education with my Middle School Endorsements for Language Arts and Social Sciences.

From October 2010 to October 2011, I worked in an elementary school in South Korea. While there, I taught English communication skills to third, fifth, and sixth grade students. For several months I tutored an adult who wanted to feel more comfortable using her English. We met once a week and practiced her English communication by talking about our jobs, families and current events.

When I arrived back in the states I became a nanny for a now 2-year-old girl. We enjoyed taking walks outdoors, reading books, making music and going on "field trips" to the Shedd Aquarium and local play cafes.

Currently I am working on weekends as a tutor at a learning center in Naperville. I assist a fourth grade student with her reading and comprehension skills. During the week I work a split-shift as a Site Director for a before and after school program at an elementary school in Libertyville.
