My experience as a private tutor expands over 20 (20) years. I first started tutoring, while in high school. While in college, I tutored to help pay for college. When I moved to Florida 11 years ago, I started teaching in elementary schools within the Orlando vicinity. This has given me access to families who needed a tutor for their child. So, most of the children I have been tutoring came from the school I was teaching at or from friends of the families that I have been tutoring. My passion in life is to assist children in either the capacity of teaching in the classroom or tutoring. Being able to help someone is my goal in life. My face lights up when a child is happy or satisfied with the work that has been completed correctly. My face frowns when a child is lost or below standards at their work. I enjoy finding alternatives to assisting a child learn. I hold the patience, passion, and influence to reach each child I tutor. I understand when a child is struggling in school. (I was one of those children who were struggling in my academic work). I believe in Gardner's seven areas of learning processes.
