I am currently teaching English at a prestigious college preparatory high school in Red Bank, NJ. My experience in the field of English Literature began in 1993 for the NYC Public Schools where I taught for 14 years until I received my current position specializing in teaching British Literature and a genres English Course. I hold a BA and MA in English plus 30 additional credits beyond my graduate program and I am also a published poet who has studied abroad in England. I have taught as an adjunct in the CUNY college program in Brooklyn, NY prior to my starting a family. I also currently tutor students in both the writing and reading portions of the SAT Exam on both an individual and group level. I am permanently certified to teach in NYC, NY State and the State of New Jersey and have undergone all the rigorous background checks needed to teach including the Virtus background check as well. I am currently looking to expand my skills tutoring other students and possibly retain a part-time adjunct English position at a college.
